In contrast to exaggerated media reports - Renmark and the Riverland are not in a flood crisis !!  The current level is higher than it has been for a long time and the flow is greater but is not a threat to towns and levee banks.  With care, river activities can still be enjoyed at the moment. 

As you can see in the below photos, our family and close friends holidayed on "Moving Waters" recently and were entertained with water activities, yabbying and witnessing the abundant flora and fauna - including kangaroos, emus, goannas and lots of frogs and birds creating beautiful tunes.

The extra water flowing through our region has brought the river and the many backwaters back to life, making it now a fantastic time to visit and experience the River Murray.  The river is the healthiest it has been for 18 years and if history repeats itself, it may not be like this again for a long time.
