Come aboard "The Murray Dream", a classic and comfortable 9 berth houseboat that serves as floating self contained accommodation. Unlike other houseboats, The Murray Dream stays moored, allowing you the chance to experience being on the water, with all the fun of a houseboat holiday, but without having to drive and manoeuvre the boat.
It is accommodation with a difference. Swim from the rear deck or try your luck at catching dinner on the end of a fishing line and then cook it on the hooded bbq whilst enjoying the spectacular view. If you have a speedboat or dinghy, moor it next to the houseboat, which provides a great base for your group to enjoy some water sports.
Get up close with nature and its wildlife from your deck chair or investigate further in the 2 person kayak supplied.
Kick a footy or play cricket in the parklands at the houseboat's door step or take the kids to the playground, just a 2 minute walk along the riverfront path. Another 3 minutes from there and you are in the main township amongst the shops, cafes and restaurants.
On The Murray Dream you are so close to the town centre, but on the other hand it is so peaceful relaxing on the rear deck that you feel so far away from civilisation.

The Murray Dream Features
- 3 bedrooms - 2 with queen beds, 1 with single bunk over double bed and foldout innerspring double sofa bed in lounge area
- 240v power plus eco friendly solar panels, battery bank and inverter - so no need to worry about generators!
- All linen and one towel per person supplied
- 1-2 person kayak, paddles and 2 life jackets included in booking. If you have your own lifejacket it may be handy to bring this with you, to ensure the perfect fit!
- TV/DVD/CD/Radio
- Tea,coffee and sugar sachets and milk supplied
- Paper towel, gladwrap, alfoil, garbage bags, dish cloth, scourer, dishwashing tablets, small shampoo and conditioner, shower cap, soap, washing machine powder all supplied on arrival
- Nespresso/Delonghi coffee pod machine and 8 pods to start you off! Coffee milk frother machine also.
- TV in one bedroom
- One bathroom and two toilets
- Washing machine
- Self contained kitchen including dishwasher, microwave, gas oven and cook-top, full size bottom mount fridge and freezer
- 3.3m undercover rear deck and large 1.6m swim deck
- Large hooded BBQ on deck
- Evaporative air conditioning and gas heating
- Parking available on James Avenue
- The water supply onboard is pumped from the river. For human consumption we supply filtered water stored in a tank under the houseboat and is accessible from the kitchen tap left hand knob.

PLEASE NOTE: There are aluminium steps down to the houseboat with two hand rails to hang onto. If you have any concerns about accessibility, please give us a call and we can send you photos of the steps as required.

These rates are per night and are based on 2 adults occupying one bed (twin share) for a minimum 2 night stay. If all people as part of the booking require separate bedrooms, an additional charge of $50 per night will apply. |

Frequently Asked Questions
How many people are allowed on board The Murray Dream?
Maritime regulations state the number of persons on board must not exceed the number of berths, being 9. Children under 12 months of age are not included in the count.
What is provided onboard 'The Murray Dream'?
As it is a home away from home, almost everything is provided for your houseboat holiday including:
• Sachets of tea, coffee, sugar,small milk and a few coffee pods to get you started!
• Toilet paper
• All bed linen, pillows, bath towels (please bring own swimming towels)
• A small selection of DVD's, books and games
• Detergent, dishcloth, garbage bags, glad wrap, alfoil, washing machine powder, dishwasher tablets, soap, small shampoo and conditioner, shower cap.
• 2 person Kayak with a couple lifejackets of different sizes (you are also welcome to bring your own if you have one, to ensure the perfect fit!)
What do I need to bring?
• Swimming towels
• Fishing rods and worms
• Clothing
• Ice for outdoor ice chest
• Personal swimming life jackets (we have a small selection available for use).
• Food and drink - there is excellent shopping in Renmark with 2 supermarkets - Woolworths and Foodland - and a few other specialty food shops including butchers and bakeries.
Can we take the boat out for a cruise?
No - our accommodation rates are at reduced prices for moored accommodation only and our houseboat and public liability insurances cover us only for moored accommodation.
Is there enough water in the River for a houseboat holiday?
There is plenty of water in the river for you to enjoy a houseboat holiday from Renmark.
Where do we leave our car during our stay?
Your car can be parked on James Avenue which is about 40 metres across lawned parkland.
If secure parking is essential, undercover parking may be available at our home residence carport across the road OR in our open, enclosed compound at the rear of our holiday villas. Please request this prior to arrival.
